Bayern Munich give update on Jamal Musiala after forward's horrifying collapse in friendly

Bayern Munich and Germany star Jamal Musiala was involved in a worrying incident during pre-season when he collapsed against RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl says Jamal Musiala is doing well after collapsing on Saturday. The German international was involved in worrying scenes during Bayern's Telekom Cup clash with RB Leipzig when he fell to ground in the latter stages during the 3-1 win.

Reports suggest that the dizzying heats in Bavaria played a role in the frightening moment for the 23-year-old, who after treatment was able to walk off. The incident occurred in the latter stages of the contest, three minutes after the German rounded off the scoring, when Musiala began to stagger with no opponents behind him.

Ismael Saibari was one of the first players on the scene before his Bayern teammates and medical staff rushed to Musiala's support. BILD reported that the midfielder became dizzy while playing in temperatures of around 33 degrees leading to circulation problems.

Eberl said: "The most important thing is that he is well. There's nothing more to say about anything else."
