Club Brugge and their young forward Nicolò Tresoldi shocked Inter 4-3 at San Siro in the Champions League’s result of the night. Tresoldi, a 22-year-old Italian-born Germany Under-21s forward, scored the first three goals for the Belgian side.
A Hakan Calhanoglu foul on Carlos Forbs resulted in a penalty which Tresoldi slotted in just before the half hour. Tresoldi picked up his second after capitalising on a blunder by the Inter keeper Josep Martínez and reacted faster than the Inter defence for the third with a quarter of an hour to go.
Lautaro Martínez had given his team a lifeline just before the break after a move initiated by Marcus Thuram, followed by a Federico Dimarco back-heel assist. The Argentinian then gave the San Siro crowd hope again in the 81st minute by narrowing the score to 3-2, but Romeo Vermant once again exposed Inter’s defensive fragility by adding a fourth goal in the 87th minute. Ange-Yoan Bonny pulled a goal back for the home side in the third minute of stoppage time.
Having lost 2-1 to Real Madrid at the Bernabéu in their opener, Inter remain on zero points and will be under immense pressure to win next week at home against Shakhtar Donetsk. Brugge, who lost at home to Aston Villa on matchday one, will next host the French club Lens.
Bayern Munich were held 3-3 at Viking, with the Norwegian champions equalising late through Herman Haugen after Michael Olise was sent off. Bayern trailed 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Gianni Stensness and Peter Christiansen. Harry Kane seemed to have dragged Bayern to victory as he scored twice and set up another for a 3-2 lead, but Olise picked up two yellow cards in the space of a minute.

Viking made the most of their advantage with Haugen scoring in the final minute to snatch a shock draw for the Norwegian champions against the German giants. Olise’s red means he will miss next week’s blockbuster clash with Arsenal in Munich.
Barcelona and Lamine Yamal rediscovered their sparkle after a rocky first-half spell in the cauldron of Istanbul’s Ali Sami Yen stadium to win 4-1 against Galatasaray.
The Turkish club took the lead after 27 minutes. After Anthony Gordon went tumbling in the penalty area, the hosts launched a rapid counterattack through Rafael Leão on the left. He pulled the ball back to the edge of the area to the Russian Aleksey Batrakov, whose drive deflected off João Cancelo and into the net.
That ignited a spell of furious home pressure which culminated with Victor Osimhen rising to head a corner past Joan García. Baris Yilmaz toed the ball over the line but was ruled offside. Barcelona reasserted control, and when Lamine Yamal went down on the edge of the box, the ball broke to Davinson Sánchez, who gave it away immediately. It fell to Dani Olmo, who threaded a pass for Cancelo to score.

At the start of the second half, Lamine Yamal took over. After setting up Gordon, who spurned the chance, he helped put Barça ahead in the 50th minute, placing a gentle curled cross on the forehead of Fermin López, who nodded home.
Three minutes later, Lamine Yamal beat Eren Elmali three times, and in three different ways, in a tiny space before rolling a pass to Gordon in front of goal. This time the England attacker made no mistake. After 65 minutes, Lamine Yamal cut in from his wing and fired a pass to Gabriel Jesus. The former Arsenal man, on as a substitute, could not control the ball but it deflected to Karim Adeyemi who drilled the ball home.
Villarreal recovered to beat Napoli 3-1 at home with goals from Georges Mikautadze, Santiago Mouriño and Tani Oluwaseyi. Brajan Gruda’s 75th-minute strike gave RB Leipzig a 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven after Maarten Vandevoordt had saved Ivan Perisic’s early penalty with a boot.
The Azerbaijani outsiders Sabah claimed a historic first win in the league phase, beating Slavia Prague 2-0. Second-half goals from Kaheem Parris and Joy-Lance Mickels secured the historic win in Baku for a club that was founded only nine years ago.
In the other early kick-off, Sporting also sealed a 2-0 win, prevailing at Lens thanks to goals in either half from Luis Suárez and Issa Doumbia.
